| Polyclonal Antibody to//Lysophosphatidic Acid Receptor 1 | |
| Alternate names | LPA1, EDG2, VZG-1 |
| Concentration | 1.0 mg/ml |
| Background | Lysophosphatidic acid receptor 1 (LPA1, EDG2, VZG-1) is a seven transmembrane receptor coupled to G proteins and has high affinity to lypophosphatidic acid (LPA). LPA1 is a member of the EDG-family of receptors which includes LPA1, LPA2 and LPA3.
These receptors mediate the serum borne lipid mediator LPA for a variety biological functions. The activation of LPA1 by LPA has shown to stimulate cell spreading and motility, mitogenesis, and various other nervous system activities. |
| Immunogen | Synthetic Peptide corresponding to amino acid residues 348-364 from human lysophosphatidic acid receptor 1. Swiss Num.: Q92633 AA Sequence: L(348) N H T I L A G V H S N D H S V V(364) Remarks: This sequence is completely conserved in human, mouse, rat and bovine. This peptide (SP5160CP) is available for use in Neutralization and Control experiments. |
| Format | State: Liquid purified IgG fraction. Purification: Epitope affinity chromatography. BufferSystem: PBS containing 1.0 mg/ml BSA as stabilizer and 0.05% sodium azide as preservative. |
| Applications | Western Blot: 1 µg/ml, detects an ~42 kDa protein representing lysophosphatidic acid receptor 1 in PC12/HeLa whole cell lysates as well as mouse and Xenopus liver samples. |
| Specificity | This antibody detects lysophosphatidic acid receptor 1. Species: Mouse, human, rat and Xenopus. |
| Storage | Store the antibody at -20°C.
