Datasheet Extract
| Polyclonal Antibody to Human XPA | |
| Background | XPA is a zinc finger protein of 31kD, although it demonstrates an electophoretic mobility of 40-42kD doubled. XPA is involved in the nucleotide excision repair process. |
| Immunogen | Recombinant human XPA Swiss Num.: P23025 |
| Format | State: Liquid serum containing 0.09% Sodium Azide |
| Applications | Western Blot: 1/5000.
Immunohistochemistry on paraffin sections: 1:50; this product does require antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections; we recommend the use of antigen unmasking fluid for this purpose; a two hour incubation with SP1142 is recommended. |
| Specificity | This antibody recognises the DNA repair associated protein designated XPA (Xeroderma pigmentosum A). This antibody recognises both normal and recombinant XPA, and shows no cross reactivity with other XP proteins. Species: Human. |
| Storage | Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch. |
