| Background | Presenilin-2 is a transmembrane protein localized in the intracellular membranes of the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus. It is expressed in many tissues. Mutations in PS-2 are involved in Alzheimer Disease. Presenilins are also involved in the processing by caspase-type proteases. |
