Polyclonal Antibody to //Superoxide Dismutase [Bovine erythrocytes]
Alternate namesSOD, Redox enzyme
Concentration90.0 mg/ml (by UV absorbance at 280 nm)
ImmunogenSuperoxide Dismutase [Bovine erythrocytes].
Format
State: Lyophilized purified Ig fraction.
Purification: Prepared from monospecific antiserum by a delipidation and defibrination.
BufferSystem: 0.01M Sodium Phosphate, 0.14M Sodium Chloride, pH 7.4 containing 0.01% sodium azide as preservative.
Reconstitution: Restore with 2.0 ml of deionized water (or equivalent).
ApplicationsSuitable for Immunoblotting (Western or Dot blot), ELISA, Immunoprecipitation and most Immunological methods requiring high titer and specificity.
Recommended Dilutions: This product has been assayed against 1.0 ug of Superoxide Dismutase [Bovine erythrocytes] in a standard sandwich ELISA using Peroxidase conjugated Affinity Purified anti-Rabbit IgG [H&L] (Goat) and ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. A working dilution of 1:300 to 1:1500 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product. Optimal dilutions of this antibody are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
SpecificityAssay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against purified and partially purified Superoxide Dismutase [Bovine Erythrocytes].
Cross reactivity against Superoxide Dismutase from other tissues and species may occur but have not been specifically determined.
StorageStore vial at 2-8°C prior to restoration. For extended storage add glycerol to 50% and then aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This antibody is stable for one month at 2-8°C as an undiluted liquid.
Dilute only prior to immediate use.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Shelf life: One year from despatch.
