| Background | Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Regulator (CFTR) is composed of two membrane-spanning domains (MSD), two nucleotide-binding domains (NBD) and one R domain. It is structurally similar to multidrug resistance protein (Mdr1). CFTR is found in the apical membranes of epithelia within the pancreas, intestine, bile duct, sweat gland and male genital ducts. CFTR is a valuable marker of human pancreatic duct cell development and differentiation. |

| Applications | Immunohistochemistry on paraffin embedded sections:
dilute 1:50-1:100 in an ABC method (30 minutes at room temperature). Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Recommended positive control: Pancreas |
