| Background | Multi-drug resistance (MDR) associated with p-glycoprotein (p170) causes resistance to various drugs in a number of cancer patients. It exists as soluble and membrane associated form. Soluble p-glycoprotein is detected in extracellular fluids of cancer patients, such as malignant ascites and serum. |
