| Applications | Studies show that most differentiated T-ALL's are CD1a+.
Demonstration of Langerhans cells in the skin. Suitable for use in Fluorescence Microscopy/Flow Cytometry (2 µg/5x10e5 cells/test) and Immunohistochemistry (1:25-1:50). These antibodies are only suitable on frozen sections or cell smears. |
| Specificity | The molecular weight of the recognized antigen is 49 kDa. BL6 binds the CD1a antigen which is non-covalently associated with beta2 microglobulin.
The antibody reacts with a differentiation antigen defining the thymic stage of T cells. Recognizes around 80% of Thymocytes (2), Langerhans cells (2), Dermal Dendritic cells and Brain Astrocytes. |
| Storage | Store lyophilized (preferably in a desiccator) at 2-8°C and reconstituted (in aliquots) at -20°C.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch. |
