| Varicella-Zoster Virus Glycoprotein E (VZVgE) Antigen, Ellen Strain | |
| Concentration | 1.0 mg/ml (OD280 nm, E0.1% = 0.74) |
| Source | BSC-1 cells Strain: Ellen |
| Format | State: Liquid purified Ig fraction. Purity: Immunoaffinity chromatography. BufferSystem: 20 mM NaH2PO4, pH 7.5, containing no preservatives. |
| Applications | This antigen is excellent for the detection of VZV antibodies using Western blots, ELISA and Immunoprecipitation.
In addition, VZV gE antigen can be used for in vitro proliferation studies. It is reactive to human VZV IgGs. |
| Description | Varicella-Zoster Virus Glycoprotein E (VZVgE) Antigen, Ellen Strain.
VZV gE glycoprotein preparation contains predominately of a fully glycosylated ZV gE with a size of approximately 95 kDa. Inactivation: Inactivated by A Lysis buffer (0.02 M Na2HPO4, pH 7.6, 0.1 M Sodium Chloride, 0.5% deoxycholate, 0.1% SDS, 1% Tryton X-100) and centrifugation to remove viral DNA and non-soluble proteins. In addition, no virus infectivity was detected in VZV lysate using susceptible tissue culture cells (BSC-1 cells). |
| Storage | Upon receipt, aliquot and store at -80°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Shelf life: six months from despatch. |
| Caution | No test guarantees a product to be non-infectious. All materials should be handled as if potentially infectious. Generally accepted laboratory practices appropriate for infectious materials should be employed when handling this product. |
