T-box transcription factors contain a novel type of DNA-binding domain, the T-box domain, which are encoded by an ancient gene family. 12 human T-box genes have been isolated. During development, Tbx15 is first expressed at embryonic day 9.5 primarily in the cranio-facial region and in the developing limbs. Species: Human. |
