| Background | The Ki67 is a nuclear protein, which is expressed in the proliferating cells. Ki67 is preferentially expressed during late G1-, S-, M-, and G2-phases of the cell cycle, while cells in the G0 (quiscent) phase are negative for this protein. |
| Immunogen | A synthetic peptide from the human Ki67 protein Swiss Num.: P46013 |
| Format | State: Liquid antiserum Purification: Protein A chromatography BufferSystem: 10 mM PBS, pH 7.4, with 0.2 % BSA & 0.09 % sodium azide. |
| Applications | Immunohistology (formalin/paraffin): Use Ab at 10-20 µg/ml for 30 min at RT. Staining of formalin/paraffin tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. Recommended positive control: Tonsil or Breast Carcinoma. |
| Specificity | This antibody detects Ki67.
Cellular Localization: Nuclear. Species: Human, Rat. |
| Storage | Store the antibody at 2 - 8 °C up to one month or in aliquots at -20 °C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Shelf life: one year from despatch. |
