| Background | Caspase-10 is expressed in many tissues and cell lines, and has been identified as caspase-10/a (Mch4) and caspase-10/b (FLICE2), respectively. Caspase-10/b is a long form, while caspase-10/a is a shorter form of caspase-10. Activated caspase-10 cleaves and activates caspase-3,-4,-6,-7,-8, and -9, which are then involved in proteolytic cleavage of many key proteins such as PARP. Caspase-10 has been shown involving in the Fas and TNFR1 induced apoptosis. |
